This was as 55-week Project, split into 3 Phases, with the addition of an overall Ventilation, Heating and Water Services Upgrade to the East Suite. 

Phase 1 consisted of a 16-week programme to refurbish the ground floor of the East Suite to provide reception/control desk areas for 2 radiation treatment rooms, patient waiting room, toilets and consulting rooms etc. We were required to maintain the operation of the department whilst the works were carried out. 

Phase 2 consisted of a 26-week programme involving major modifications to a treatment room in the West Suite to allow the installation of a new treatment machine. The work also included the upgrading of structural walls to provide additional radiation protection. 

Phase 3, like the previous phase, consisted of a 13-week programme involving major modifications to one of the treatment rooms in the East Suite to allow the installation by others of a new treatment machine.

This work was completed on time and on budget.
