This project involved the erection of a steel clad portal frame structure in the first phase of the ongoing renovation of the Matt Purdie yard in Blackburn. 

Our works involved vibro-compaction piling as part of ground stabilisation measures because of the poor quality subsoil around the site. This was carried out alongside the day-to day operation of the yard. 

The building itself was a steel portal framed structure with single skin roof and wall cladding. Ritchie Brothers also carried out extensive electrical works internally and external works to improve the yard area. 

This project was a success and Ritchie Brothers have completed several other projects for this Client and enjoy a successful on-going relationship.
